The Thirsties ‘Stay Dry Natural Duo’ set combines the benefits of synthetic and natural fibers in a single insert! Both parts of the insert are connected with snaps. This means that they can be washed together (so you don’t have to look for the individual parts after washing), but you can still dry them separately, which significantly reduces the drying time.
The lower part of the insert is made of hemp and cotton. This special fabric feels like a soft shirt and does not turn rough or coarse over time. Although hemp absorbs liquids more slowly than cotton, it is much better at retaining fluids.
The indicated size refers to the measurements after washing. Do not be surprised if the inserts appear too large for your diapers at first. Hemp and cotton shrink by about 10% after the first washing.

Upper insert: 1 layer polyester fleece + 3 layers cotton
Lower insert: 55% hemp, 45% cotton
Care instructions:
Washable up to 60 degrees
Put in dryer only at the lowest level
Do not use bleach, softener or soaps.
IMPORTANT:
Thirsties hemp products have to be washed and dried three times before first use. This is the only way to cleanse the fibers of their natural oils and reach a good level of absorbency. Only after eight washes has the hemp reached its full absorbency.
