The Popolini Wool Wrap is a great cover for parents who prefer natural wrap systems. The milled fabric reliably keeps the pants impermeable and has a temperature-regulating effect. The natural and untreated virgin wool is skin-friendly and breathable.
Since the WoolWrap is made of thin but particularly tightly woven material, you do not need to wash or lanolise it before using it for the first time; it can be used immediately. Over time, however, it will be necessary to re-wax the pants (e.g. with avo+ado wool wax), as the lanolin slowly disappears during the washing process. If you fail to lanolise the overpants, the beneficial properties of the wool, such as the self-cleaning effect, moisture protection and moisture absorption capacity, will gradually be lost. We recommend washing and lanolising wool covers every 3-4 weeks.
The fabric is sewn twice in the area that gets exposed to most of the wetness. The knitted cuffs on the legs are also made of virgin wool with a very low percentage of elastane. They nestle against your child's thighs and provide reliable leak protection. The overlock seam around the leg cuffs has been deliberately placed on the outside so that there is no danger of chafing or marks on your baby's skin. The wide cuffs also ensure that any absorbent material is completely covered.
Thanks to the large hook-and-loop fasteners, the WoolWrap cover can be easily adjusted. This also makes it easier to put it on and take it off. Unfortunately there is no counter hook-and-loop. We therefore recommend closing the cover before washing or lanolising it, and turning it inside out.
The Popolini WoolWrap can be paired with inserts such as prefolds from avo+cado, muslin diapers from Disana or folding diapers from Smart Bottoms. You can wrap the absorbent material around your child or simply fold it and insert it, but it is also cut large enough to fit over fitted nappies (e.g. from Petit Lulu or Totsbots).
