The Disana knitted wool cover is a wonderful cover for fitted and knitted nappies and makes a very reliable and natural cover. Wool is a fantastic alternative for parents who would prefer not to use PUL or synthetic fabrics as a waterproof layer. It is also very breathable and has natural temperature regulating properties.
The covers are knitted and are two layers thick. A high and stretchy waistband ensures the baby's tummy is kept warm, while the extra-wide leg cuffs ensure a good fit and provide leak protection.

Washing a wool cover is only necessary before the first use or:
- when it is dirty
- smells bad
- the wetness soaks through
- otherwise every 3-6 weeks
Like all nappy covers made from wool, the Disana covers need to be lanolised in order to be waterproof. We recommend lanolising with pure wool wax (adeps lanae anhydricus).
Wash at 30 degrees using a wool detergent and wool programme or handwash. Then lanolise as required.
Do not dry in a tumble dryer or on a heater. Pull the washed overtrousers gently into shape and lay them down on a terry towel for drying.
** Please note that knitted wool covers in comparison to felted wool, take a bit of time before they are completely waterproof. Therefore for the beginning, please use for shorter changing periods.
